Why Perfect Pedigree

The ethical choice for finding a puppy in Thailand

Puppies belong with their mothers, not on display. We established Perfect Pedigree as an ethical alternative to pet shops, puppy markets and puppy farms. Our puppies are not kept in shop cages waiting to be sold. They remain with their mothers and littermates until they are ready to join their new families.

Our story

Personal care and responsible standards since 2014

Ross and Anne are lifelong dog lovers who started Perfect Pedigree in 2014 and remain personally involved in the business today.

They wanted to give families a clearer and more accountable way to find a puppy in Thailand, built on trusted breeder relationships, careful preparation and honest information about the individual puppy.

Since then, the team has helped thousands of puppies join families in Thailand and overseas. That experience has strengthened our breeder relationships, our understanding of the questions families need answered and our belief that responsible service begins with the puppy’s welfare.

Our ethical commitment

Responsible sourcing begins with the breeder

We work with ethical breeders, small family breeders and breed enthusiasts whose dogs and puppies receive the care and attention they deserve.

Our puppies are not sourced from puppy farms or anonymous bulk sellers. We favour established relationships that give us meaningful context about the breeder, the puppy’s early environment and previous puppies.

Established relationships

Years of experience and previous puppies give us more context than a one-off advertisement or anonymous listing.

The early environment matters

We care about how a puppy is raised, the care provided during its first weeks and whether it has been given time to develop before leaving its mother.

The individual puppy matters

We share puppy-specific photographs, videos and available information so families can consider the actual puppy rather than relying on a generic breed description.

The first eight weeks

Puppies stay with their mothers until they are ready

The first weeks of a puppy’s life are important for gradual weaning, development and learning from its mother and littermates. We do not deliver puppies before they are eight weeks old. Some puppies remain longer when their individual development or travel arrangements require it.

Our eight-week minimum reflects widely recognised animal-welfare practice, including UK dog-breeding welfare guidance and published research on early maternal separation.

Our welfare standard

Joining the family from eight weeks

Each puppy stays with its mother until at least eight weeks old and leaves only when ready for the transition to its new family.

Young puppies are still developing their immune protection. Keeping their environment settled and limiting unnecessary visits helps reduce exposure to infection and disturbance during these important early weeks. Our breeders can concentrate on the puppies’ care, feeding and socialisation.

Read more about puppy immune protection in the AAHA vaccination guidance and VCA’s puppy vaccination explanation.

We help you choose through current photographs, recorded videos and information about the actual puppy. After reservation, regular updates keep you involved as your puppy grows and prepares to come home.

Every puppy undergoes a comprehensive pre-delivery health examination by an independent vet and is certified to be in good health. Original health and identification documents provide further reassurance.

This welfare-first approach is why we do not operate a showroom or arrange visits to puppies or breeders.

Principles put into practice

What our standards mean for your puppy

01

Relationships with ethical breeders

Our network is built through established relationships, previous experience and a shared expectation that puppies are raised with proper care.

02

Time for a puppy to develop

The puppy remains with its mother and breeder until at least eight weeks old, receiving age-appropriate feeding, care, handling and socialisation.

03

Information about the actual puppy

Before reservation, we share current photographs, videos and the available information about the individual puppy, its parents and early environment.

04

Extensive preparation and lasting accountability

Every puppy undergoes a comprehensive pre-delivery health examination by an independent vet and is certified to be in good health. Preparation includes laboratory testing, preventive care, ISO microchipping, original records and free delivery throughout Thailand. Our Limited Lifetime Health Guarantee and continuing support reflect the responsibility we take beyond the reservation.
